I took last week off work to have one last fling with Zuzu before she starts 5th grade. It was so nice to switch up my wardrobe for the week and have another chance to wear some of the summer casual clothes that I have in my closet. This outfit was a favorite from the week – Target shorts and an Amazon top that I paired with Sam Edleman slides.

Outfit of the Day Off (OOTDO)
I budgeted $300 to do some last minute summer fun and we spend every last cent of it. Here is everything we did:

Monday
- XC Practice
- Starbucks
- Visited Mike at work and had lunch at his favorite burger spot near his office
- Grocery Shopped
- Volleyball Practice

Tuesday
- Took the train to Chicago
- Starbucks
- Visited Taylor at work and had lunch at her favorite sandwich shop
- Target
- Went to Millennium Park to see the fountain and The Bean
- Navy Pier to ride “Flyover“

Wednesday
- Saw Freakier Friday
- Target
- XC Practice

Thursday
- Hair cut for Zuzu
- Library to claim prizes for the Summer Reading Program
- Target
- Starbucks
- Shoe shopping for school shoes
- Playdate at our house
- Volleyball practice
- Late dinner with the family at a local restaurant
Friday
- Slept in (missed XC practice)
- Zuzu went to a Minor League baseball game with a friend
- I helped Taylor make Lasagna
As I typed everything out, I realized that we went to Target and Starbucks three days in a row – how basic of us.
At the end of the week, Zuzu says she had a good time. Her favorite thing was having lunch with Mike and Taylor and the Flyover experience at Navy Pier. Her backpack, uniform, and school supplies are ready for next week and I feel refreshed and ready to start a new school year!
