One of the small habits that I continue to work on actually came from my husband. Every night, he packs up his work clothes to take with him to the gym in the morning. Watching him do that day after day made me realize how much easier it would be if I had my own outfit ready ahead of time. So, I’ve been trying to take a few minutes each night to hang up my clothes for the next day. No last-minute scrambling, no “nothing to wear” panic—just a calmer, more focused start to the day.
I also recently read a tip that taking a quick photo of your outfit each day can help you build a personal “catalog” of looks. Over time, you can scroll back, see what you loved, and get inspired on mornings when your brain feels blank. I’ve been trying this little experiment all summer, and it’s been surprisingly helpful.
And while I enjoy dressing for work year-round, I’ll admit—I think it’s easier in the summer. A light dress, tailored trousers, or a sleeveless blouse can look polished without the layers and bulk that winter demands. Sometimes I feel like fashion bloggers in warm climates don’t realize the challenge of trying to look stylish when it’s 30 degrees and snowing outside. Dressing for the office in January is an entirely different sport. That’s why I like to embrace summer while I can—before the boots, tights, and heavy coats take over.
My style is simple, comfortable, and almost always solid colors. I’ve always felt that clean lines and minimal patterns look more elevated—especially on my smaller frame—and they make getting dressed in the morning effortless. If I had to pick a signature color, it would be navy every time. It’s classic, flattering, and works well with a lot in my closet.

Most of what I wear to work has been in my closet for years, but I’ve picked up a few new pieces this summer from Amazon, Versona, and Target. I choose items that require minimal ironing and wash easily. I love when a new item blends seamlessly with what I already own—it makes my wardrobe feel fresh without starting from scratch.
As much as I used to love a high heel, my knees have decided those days are behind me. These days, I reach for low-heeled sandals in comfortable brands like Naturalizer, Steve Madden, or Nine West. They give me just enough lift to feel polished, but I can still walk comfortably all day.
For me, dressing well for work isn’t just about the clothes—it’s about mindset. When I feel put together, I’m more confident, more motivated, and ready to tackle the day.
